Manchester Day is going to bring the city to life again on Sunday 21 June 2020 from 1pm to 6pm.

An exuberant celebration of a proud city, for its people, by its people.

What is Manchester Day?

Manchester Day is an annual event that celebrates everything great about the city. It is a day for families, residents and visitors to get together and celebrate all things Mancunian that have made Manchester one of the world’s most iconic cities.

Each year, we give Manchester Day a theme. Find out more about the process of how Manchester Day is created.

For 2020, Manchester Day will be all about our planet. The urgency of climate change requires us all to rethink… Let’s celebrate the live wires in our communities, galvanise our neighbourhoods and electrify the streets with a surge of energy as Manchester rises to the challenge of using less now to protect it for the future.

Manchester Day 2020 will be the best yet! As well as an amazing parade through the heart of the city starting at 1pm, Manchester’s city centre squares will have plenty of performances, decorations and mouth watering food and drink to keep you entertained right up until 6pm.
