The Manchester Day parade weaves its way through the heart of the city centre in a fusion of colour, music and dance!

The centrepiece of Manchester Day is the stunning parade, weaving its way through the city. The parade itself is usually around one mile long and takes up to an hour to pass any one point!

The parade had a new route for 2019, starting from Princess St (near Canal St), and taking in Portland St and Peter St before travelling along Deansgate to finish near the Cathedral.

  • After the stunning parade wowed the crowds along the route and reached the finish line at the end of Deansgate, there was a collection of the parade creations on display at Parade Plaza (in front of Manchester Cathedral) from 4pm to 6pm for you to take a closer look at – the perfect opportunity for a selfie or two!
